Cindy Gilbert

Cindy Gilbert is a retired music educator who loves to work, teach, and encourage the learning of music to individuals of all ages. She is excited to bring and foster music education in Rutherford County, NC. Her undergraduate work was completed at Limestone University in Gaffney, SC and her graduate work was at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga. She was a music education major with emphasis on percussion studies.

Cindy's career has been predominantly in Polk County, NC (28 yrs), with three years in SC and Ga, teaching in grade levels pre-k through 12th grade. Cindy has performed in the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, college level percussion ensembles, concert bands and sang in vocal groups, such as vocal ensembles, madrigal groups and church groups. such as congregational choirs and praise teams.
