Daphne Bickley

Violin & Viola

Daphne Bickley is a local musician and teacher born and raised in Rutherford County, NC. Classically trained at the Peabody Conservatory, she brings over 15 years of professional experience as both a performer and educator. Daphne offers violin, viola, and fiddle lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Each student receives a personalized curriculum tailored to their musical goals, with a special focus on audition and competition preparation. She believes in the power of music education to foster discipline, critical thinking, confidence, and, most importantly, joy.

As a performer, Daphne serves as principal violist of both the Hendersonville Symphony and the Piedmont Chamber Orchestra, with positions in the Asheville Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, and Spartanburg Philharmonic. She is a founding member of the Meadowlark String Quartet, and she enjoys solo performance opportunities as well.

Most recently, Daphne won first place at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games Scottish Fiddle Competition and will soon compete at the national level. Through teaching and performance, Daphne's goal is to nurture a lifelong love of music and contribute to the cultural growth of our community.
