Lelia Lattimore
Lever Harp • Pedal Harp
Lelia Lattimore is an accomplished harpist and educator whose lifelong love of the harp began while growing up in Asheville, North Carolina. Introduced to the lever harp at an early age, she has spent her career exploring the beauty and versatility of both the lever and pedal harp through orchestral performance, freelance work, and private instruction.
Lelia has served as Principal Harpist with the Asheville Symphony, Hendersonville Symphony, and Johnson City Symphony (TN). As a freelance musician, she has also performed with the Asheville Lyric Opera, accompanied choral ensembles, and provided music for weddings, special events, and community performances throughout North Carolina.
At Wild Roots Fine Arts Academy, Lelia offers private instruction in both lever harp and pedal harp for students of all ages and experience levels. Whether a student is discovering the harp for the first time or continuing advanced study, she enjoys helping each one develop strong technique, musical expression, and confidence.
Rental instruments are available, making it easy for beginning students to explore the harp without the immediate expense of purchasing an instrument.
Lelia and her husband, John, have called Cleveland County home since the early 1990s, where they raised their three children. They now live on the family farm in the restored historic John Lattimore House in Polkville, North Carolina.
