Norman Moore

Norman Moore is a lifelong music educator and professional percussionist with decades of experience teaching and performing throughout the Southeast. Originally from South Carolina, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University and has completed additional graduate studies at Furman University, the University of South Carolina, and UNC Greensboro.
In 2007, Norman achieved National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music, reflecting his commitment to excellence in music education. Throughout his career, he has taught band and elementary music to students in grades K–12 in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As a performer, Norman has appeared with the Augusta Symphony, Greenville Symphony, and numerous opera and musical theater orchestras across four states. He continues to perform as a freelance percussionist and has worked extensively with student percussionists at high schools throughout western North Carolina.
Norman currently serves as the music teacher at Forrest Hunt and Pinnacle Elementary Schools in Rutherford County, where he continues to inspire young musicians through engaging and encouraging instruction. At Wild Roots Fine Arts Academy, he offers private instruction in drum set and orchestral percussion, helping students develop strong technical skills, musical confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for rhythm and percussion.
