Spring Session: Music Classes for Children
Musical Morning Class (birth-3y)
A music class that will begin to build the musical foundation that your child will benefit from in future musical and life experiences. We will try out rhythm instruments, listen to a wide range of music, explore our musical environment, and have fun with many other musical activities. Come prepared to have fun, learn about music, and do lots of singing!
Ages birth-3 years, with an adult present
Tuesdays OR Wednesdays at 9:30-10:15 am
Classes will start January 28/29, and will run for 12 classes.
Tuition: $180 first child, $135 second child, $0 third child

Musical Afternoon Class (2-4y)
A music class that will begin to build the musical foundation that your child will benefit from in future musical and life experiences. Fridays at 1:45-2:30 pm
Classes will start January 31, and will run for 10 classes.

Musical Journey Classes (3-8y)
A class that will explore many aspects of our musical development and appreciation for music. This session will focus on the keyboard and string instrument family.
1. Tuesdays 10:30-11:15 am (ages 3-5 years, with an adult present), runs for 12 classes. KEYBOARD FAMILY
2. Wednesdays 10:30-11:15 am (ages 4-7, with an adult present), runs for 10 classes. KEYBOARD FAMILY
3. Fridays 10-10:45 am (ages 3-5 years, with an adult present), runs for 10 classes. STRING FAMILY
4. Fridays 3:45-4:30 pm (ages 5-8 years), runs for 10 classes. STRING FAMILY
Classes will start week of January 27, 2025.

Music Mind Games (7-10y)
Music Mind Games uses a curriculum of more than 300 cooperative games for teaching music theory and reading. Students learn sophisticated concepts involving rhythm, dictation, note reading, and sight singing in the form of imaginative games. Thanks to a nurturing and teaching philosophy, sequential pedagogical concepts, clever materials and mind-stimulating games, students grow to love and be excited about music theory at any age. A great class to learn about music while you are deciding which instrument to take or enhance your instrumental learning experience.
NO PREVIOUS MUSIC INSTRUCTION REQUIRED.
Wednesdays 4:00-4:45 pm (ages 7-10 years)
Classes will start Wed, Jan 29, and will run for 10 classes.

Beginning Cello Class (2-5y)
This class is designed as a group instruction for beginning cello. A parent participant is required to attend. Instructions on how to make your own "practice" cello will be provided, and when the time is right, the student will move up to a wooden cello.
Ages 2-5 years, with an adult present
Tuesdays 11:30am-12:15pm, starting Jan 28, and will run for 12 classes.
OR
Fridays 11-11:45am, starting Jan 31, and will run for 10 classes.

Private music lessons are the most effective and efficient way to teach students a musical instrument. At Wild Roots, our goal as instructors is to lay a solid foundation, teaching each student proper technique of their instrument, as well as the ability to read accurately and confidently, the language of music notation.
